The squadron is now involved in the Southern
Cross war and seems to be doing well in that
environment. Wednesdays and Sunday nights
are now the preferred nights for flying with
good numbers of guys turning out to fly.
I am please to announce the promotion of
III/JG11_Paulus to LEUTNANT, well done mate.

Well things have been busy but the
squadron is back from leave.
III/JG11_Slipry and III/JG11_Mutts came
to Perth for a visit and to attend a
concert. A great time was had by all and
thanks to III/JG11_Mike and his lovely
wife Gail for putting the boys up.

The squadron again engaged the lads of
the AG51 after Christmas in a hard
fought campaign in Scorched Earth Italy
map. Special mention to III/JG11_Tige
and III/JG11_Slipry for their efforts in
bombing the crap out of the allied
factories. Well done boys.
At this stage our squadron has decided
to take a break from Scorched Earth
campaigns on Sunday mornings.
We would also like to welcome our newest
member III/JG11_Kennel, I’m sure he will
enjoy his time with us.

Well its been another busy couple of months,
we welcome a new recruit, III/JG11_Paulus,
we sadly lost III/JG11_Charos due to work
pressures. We have a new Recruitment Officer
in III/JG11_Reaper who was also promoted to
the Rank of MAJOR, effective immediately. A
number of members were suffering from "IL2
burnout" and as a result the squadron has
gone into a holding pattern to give the lads
time to recuperate. A new campaign is in the
wind thanks to III/JG11_Simmo which
should see us fighting in the Italy map.

Things have been busy with no time to update
the homepage until now. The Marianas
campaign has finished with the mighty
III/JG11 being victorious in a hard fought
endeavor.
The Iwo Jima campaign between III/JG11 v
AG51 + Black Sheep Squadron + VFC is well
underway with JG11 sinking the Saratoga on
this weekends mission. A top performance by
all pilots almost saw the second carrier
being sunk in the same mission. Special
mention today for the fighter pilots who
more than held their own with III/JG11_Tiger
scoring 5 air kills. Well done all.
I am please to announce the following award
to Tiger.

This weekends fight against AG51 saw JG11
attack the Lexington Carrier scoring two
bomb hits and engaging the attack armada
sent by AG51. Typical of this campaign, long
boring flight then flat out action for 20
mins. The campaign is finely balanced and
one wrong move by either side could spell
disaster.
To celebrate the 5th year the squadron has
been in existence a new 5 year badge was
struck and distributed to all members of the
III/JG11 squadron. I believe its a great
effort to keep this squadron going strong
for 5 years and its a credit to the members.

A number of lads have or are in the process
of upgrading their rigs and it will be good
to see some of those on the reserve list
back in the fold.
Its with regret that I have removed
III/JG11_Para from the squadron but we must
have members available and showing
dedication to the squadron and sadly in this
instance it was lacking. We wish him well
and the door is always open for him to
return if his situation improves.

The Marianas
campaign is heating up with strikes on the
Allied carrier fleets Last week and a
retaliation strike this week by the AG51.
This campaign has turned into a real cat and
mouse affair with both sides doing a top job
in attacking and defending.
III/JG11_Davo had an outstanding mission
being responsible for sighting the enemy
horde and shadowing them and coordinating a
well planned strike by the JG11 lads- The
AG51 boys suffered greatly with only three
pilots surviving the onslaught. As a result
I am please to
issue this award to III/JG11_Davo.

Well done Davo and all that took part.

Some real life issues have hit the squadron
hard over the last couple of months but I am
pleased to see that all appears well and
most of the outside personal issues faced by
individual squadron members have
abated or been ratified.
During this time the squadron has continued
to grow from strength to strength and has
engaged in another Scorched Earth campaign
against its old foes the Airgroup 51 lads.
III/JG11 won the Stalingrad campaign and
from the comments made it seemed to be a fun
campaign with much mud slinging between
guys.
The Marianas campaign is now underway with a
new map of Pearl Harbour being given to us
by our mate 4Shades for the next round of
hostilities.
Contact has been made with the Fallen Angles
lads who seem to have bred well over the
last few months, with a view to getting
something running, maybe between JG11 +
another Aussie squad v the lads from the US.
Stay tuned campers.

The Scorched Earth season has started
with a bang, two rounds down see three
pilots captured and interrogated, one
allied and two III/JG11 - two pilots talked
during the interrogations and one kept his
mouth shut. Intelligence has been updated to
both sides as a result.
last weeks fight saw III/JG11_Winter back to
his old form with 4 enemy air kills, 1
friendly [ his wingman - he claims he
wouldn't do as he was ordered so deserved to
get shot] and two ground kills. Outstanding
effort. III/JG11_Goggo chipped in with 2 air
kills and it was a pleasure to see both
Winter and Goggo operating as a team.
AG51 were working hard as usual and depleted
our bombers and a number of fighters. It was
a top fight as expected.
The following pilot is presented the
following award, well done mate.
